Residency
Duende Foundation (Stichting Duende Aktiviteiten) offers three guest studios for resident artists. Two of these studios are programmed and managed by a members commission. The studios are available to artists from all over the world for a period of three months. Each studio is between 60 and 90 m² with 4.5 meter high ceilings and adjoined 30 to 50 m² living accommodation. ADSL internet connection is included. Elsewhere in the building there is a communal kitchen, shower and washing machine. Duende’s building is centrally located in the North East of the city, ten minutes bike ride from the downtown area; central station, galleries, museums etc. Read more about Rotterdam here.
The studio fee, in combination with private living accommodation, is € 350,- per month for individual artists.
Guest artists are supported in presenting their work in public. This usually takes place during the open studio days at the end of each residency. Other forms of public presentations can be discussed according to each guest’s interests.
